*Regarding lake water levels


Water levels on Long Lake can fluctuate greatly from year to year. On low level years the beach can be 20' x 100' of beautiful sand. Other years water levels can be high, and the beach area can be very small. Even on those years though, it is still beautiful firm sandy frontage, and great for swimming! Water levels are higher in the spring, and progressively get lower as the summer goes on. The amount of snow the area receives during the winter time is the greatest factor in these level changes.
